Ruffati/Rodgers - King of King Lutheran - Woodbury, MN
Comet Organ Company was tasked by Rodgers Classic Organs of Minneapolis to lead the installation of the new Ruffatti/Rodgers hybrid organ at King of Kings Lutheran Church in Woodbury, MN in September 2026. The Rodgers 489 organ was installed in 2025 after the congregation completed their new worship space, and while the Ruffatti pipes and facade were being constructed in Padua, Italy. The organ arrived to the church in many dozens of pieces, and two enormous crates full of pipes. Jason Comet led the team of Peggy Bartunek, Joaquin Martinez, and Terry Osowki (Rodgers Classic Organs); Troy Killorn and Gilbert Solorio (Classic Organs of Northern California); and members of the congregation during the week-long installation. The combination of the Ruffatti pipes with the Rodgers 489 console created a seamless blend of wind-blown pipes and digital voices. The organist, Jim Lindstrom, has thoroughly enjoyed the installation and leads an exciting music program each week.
